Anne Marie Ponce de Leon MD is a proud native Houstonian. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Houston Baptist University with a double major in Biology and History. For medical school, she attended the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston (recently renamed McGovern Medical School). She began her family practice training at Tufts University Medical School in Boston, MA, but subsequently returned to Houston where she completed her residency at the Memorial Southwest Family Practice Program.

Dr. Anne has practiced traditional medicine for over 20 years, all the while she has studied and incorporates various aspects of functional and integrative medicine into her patient care.

She fundamentally believes that the ‘art of medicine’ resides in the ability to communicate and truly ‘hear’ her patients.

She joined Z Med Clinics and Spa in 2019 and patients have really benefited from her experience in bio-identical hormone therapies and health and wellness services.

She resides in Houston with her husband and children. In addition to spending time with her family, Dr. Ponce de Leon enjoys reading, exercising, watching movies and traveling.
